Programs and services for adults with developmental disabilities in Ontario: How to Find Services
My task was to edit a talking head style video, enhancing the visuals to complement the speaker’s words and provide additional context where needed. The footage was provided to me, and I edited it together adding visual elements to improve clarity and engagement for the audience.
To support the narrative, I created custom visuals, colour-graded the video, and incorporated animated icons. I also designed a simple browser interface in Adobe Illustrator, which was then animated in After Effects to tie in the DSO website recording with the rest of the graphics used throughout the video. Due to the original footage not leaving enough room for added visuals, I utilized AI tools to expand the background, ensuring there was enough space for the new elements.
Throughout the process, I collaborated with a team to refine the visuals based on their feedback, ensuring the final result met the project’s objectives. The completed video is now published on the Karis Disability Services YouTube channel and website, where it serves as an informative resource to help individuals with disabilities learn how to access services in Ontario.
